Burst of Colors

Hello Crafty Friends & Happy First Day of Spring! Despite or just because of all whats going on in the world at the moment I want to share a happy springtime/Easter card with you today. On my card I am using one of Whimsy Stamps new clear set from this months release called 'NEW Easter Memories'   by Deb Davis . I stamped with Versafine Onys Black ink onto Strathmore's blue toned mixed media paper. I used several images from the  'NEW Easter Memories'  set to create my little scene which I colored using Prisma pencils. The image was cut out using the  NEW Spring Ovals   dies. The frame around the image was also created with the NEW Spring Ovals die set which I cut out from white Hammermill cardstock and layered on top of each other with foam tape. To make the image on the frame pop even more I stamped the NEW Crisscross Gingham stamp with Memento Sky ink onto the A2 top fold card base. The sentiment was stamped with Versafine ...

Hi everyone! Today I want to re-share a card I made using the adorable Hoppy Spring clear stamps set from Whimsy Stamps as well as a few other Whimsy goodies. I made this card last year when the products first where introduced at that time as Paper Door kit. So you might remember seeing this card before ;-) These little bunnies are so sweet and together with the matching  Hoppy  Spring outline dies (sold separately) and sentiments (included with the clear set) you can make a card in no-time. I also used the  Mini Cloud background stamp to create my sky. Hi Everyone and Happy Sunday! Today I want to share a card I made using Whimsy's 'Layered Dahlia' from the Crissy Armstrong collection using Prisma pencils on grey mixed media paper. My card is a A2 size top-fold card. I started out by stamping the Dahlia blossoms, buds and leaves with Versamark embossing ink onto grey mixed media paper. Using the embossing ink makes lines nearly invisible after coloring. They will blend almost perfectly with your pencil coloring. When I color with pencils on colored paper like this grey mixed media paper I always put down a white layer first. Then I put down all the colored layers on top of the white layer. This will make sure your colors stay bright and you can avoid dull colors. A few white sprinkles (white acrylic paint) add an artistic look. A simple sentiment (included with the set) and a few sequins finish off my card. This CAS style card is perfect for many occasions. Here is a list of Whimsy products I used ...

Hi peeps! It's been a while since my last post. Life interfered big time with my card creating but now I am back. It's the time of the month and the new March release from Whimsy Stamps is live in the shop HERE . This is Harley from the Polka Dot Pals by Barbara Sproatmeyer . I colored with Copics and Pencils and masked him onto a tree stump that is also included with the clear set. The BG is created by using the NEW Hexagon Die set    and the NEW Criscross Gingham BG stamp. I stamped the  Criscross Gingham  with Memento Summer Sky. I stamped the included sentiment on the bottom front of the card and added a few black and silver sequins to finish off this CAS card.
