Time To Get Candy & Whimsy Giveaway Winner Re-draw

Hello Everyone and Happy Labor Day for all in the US. If you have the day off today I hope you are enjoying your long weekend! Well I'm actually enjoying one full week of vacation. Hubby and I decided last week that it is time for a break and some much needed R&R. So all my posts going up this week are scheduled and I will be back next week!

Time for my first Halloween card of the season. One of just a few as I'm not making too many of them. This is a sweet little Gojuss girl availbale at Susana's store HERE. It's not a particular Halloween stamp and I actually colored her already quite some time ago with a complete different theme in mind.

When I decided to make a Halloween card I added the little spider and the web. This is a stamp I found last year at Michaels in the $1 section. I colored her using Copics. DP is from Bo Bunny's Garden Girl Collection also available at Susana's store HERE.
The banner die is from Whimsy, sentiment is a stamp from Studio G and the flowers are from my stash.

SCACD New Release Blog Hop - When Sweet Meets Sassy Release

Hello all and welcome to another stop of the SCACD New Release Blog Hop - When Sweet Meets Sassy!  If you arrived here from wonderful Danni's blog you are on the right track! If not please go back to the SCACD store blog to start from the beginning. There you'll also find the complete blog hop list and all the details regarding the hop!

I'm thrilled and honored that Susana asked me again to participate in one of her awesome new release hops and that I can show you today two of these fantastic new images today. This time the artist is Victoria Case. 2 sets are being released today The Retro Collection and The Bonita Collection  Both collections are available as a complete set (with bonus stamp only available in each of the sets) and as single stamps.

As my GDT projects for today's hop I made a card using Mrs. Cleaver from the Retro Collection & Beach Bonita from the Bonita Collection. They are both GORGEOUS and such fun to color and create with :-)
Here's my first card, Mrs. Cleaver:

I colored Mrs. Cleaver using my Copics. When I first saw her she was screaming 'pink' to me...lol. So I went ahead and colored her pink. And of course she has to have blonde hair and blue eyes! The DP is from Basic Grey's 'Sugared' collection. Border punch is from MS and the leave die is from Marianne Design. I added lots of sparkle using Stickles Star Dust and Golden Rod. The sentiment is from WOJ.

******************

For my second project I made a bookmark using Beach Bonita:

This time I colored using a combo of Copics and colored pencils with OMS. To her eyes I added some shine using a green glaze pen. DP is from BG's Whisteria collection. For some glitter effects I added Stickles to the image and DP.

And this is how it looks like when it's being used in a book :-)

Now it's time for you to hop on and your next stop in the hop is Jane! I know she has something fantastic to show you!
And just a little reminder. If you are in Europe and like to purchase SCACD stamps this is your address to go to: Quixotic Paperie, who is an exclusive SCACD retailer!

I hope you had fun here today on my blog and are enjoying the hop as much as I do! Thanks for stopping by and Happy TGIF my friends!

The stamp I like to present to you today from the Reflections Set #1 - Carmen Medlin for SCACD is called 'Pearl Princess'.

Isn't she just lovely? She looks so elegant, fragile and has so delicately chiseled features... just like a mermaid is supposed to be! Well at least in my imagination..LOL  I colored her using my Copics. She was stamped onto X-press it blending paper using Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I added lots of glimmer to the image as well as the flowers. I used different kinds of Stickles for that.

Flowers, ribbon and charm are from my stash. Pearl swirls are from Prima and the rhinestone swirls are from Recollections. For the die cut swirls I used a Magnolia DooHickey die. Sentiment is from Whimsy.

Let's Celebrate!!!

Happy TGIF everyone and thanks for visiting me today! Blowing bubbles! Didn't you like that when you were a child?! I loved it, especially inside the house and  my mom was going crazy...LOL ;-) The image I used for my card today is another Elisabeth Bell beauty called 'Bubbles' and available as stamp from SCACD. I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Iridescent Cryogen White paper and colored her with my Copics. The DP is from Basic Grey and the sentiment stamp is from a clear stamp set from Fiskars. I added Stickles Diamond to set some highlights on the flowers and image and Crystal Glaze to give the bubbles a perfect shine.

I'm also entering this card into 3 challenges:

SCACD : Where you have to create an invitation.
Paper Romance:   It's a sketch challenge.
Cute Card Thursday:  Color challenge: black, blue orange

On the following picture you can see the nice shine the bubbles got :

A quick reminder: Dont forget to enter my CANDY!!! :-)

Color My World

Hello friends and a Happy Thursday! Wow where has the week gone, can't believe it's Thursday already! Today it is going to be a very hot day here so I have to get all my chores and errands done early and will keep this post short. My card today shows another super cute image from the very talented Elisabeth Bell. This one is available through Susanas Custom Art and Card Designs and it's called 'Little Suzanne'. This is also my entry for the SCACD Try it out Tuesday challenge which is a sketch this week.

I colored my image using Copics (a picture of Copics used is at the end of the posting). DP is from Basic Greys new collection Chapelle and my CS is Martha Stewart. The beautiful fabric flower on top of my ribbon is one of the gorgeous embellies that were included in the candy I won recently from Elise  :-) and now she is one of my new DT sisters at Belles 'n Whistles...YAY! For the corner decorations I used a Cuttlebug die and glossy CS.  The Spellinders die I used is one of the newer ones called Big Scalloped Oval. To get this layred look I cut out the same size 3 times using different papers. On one I stamped my image and the other two I cut in half and just staggered them behind the first one. Hope you like my play on the sketch.

Copics used

Wishing you a great day and thanks for stopping by and any comment left is highly appreciated!

Scooter Fun! & Sketch Saturday #95

Hello & Happy Tuesday Friends! I think 'Little Dianne' looks like she is having lots of fun riding her scooter, what do you think? I colored this Victoria Case image from Susana's shop using my Copics. I also used this weeks sketch from Sketch Saturday to create my card.  I also tried a new Copic technique...well new to me because I haven't tried it before. I used the Copic feather technique on the little girls shirt and parts of the scooter (vertical part of the handlebar). I blended together the colors orange and pink and violet and lime green using this technique. I have to say I love this technique and blending together opposite colors. That is so much fun and you can achieve amazing effects. I guess you'll see more of this technique very soon here on my blog...lol. The papers I've used are from Basic Grey's Green at Heart collection. Sentiment is from The Cutting Cafe and the die used under the Sentiment is from Nellie Snellen. I also used button, charm, ribbon, flowers, spacer bead, rhinestone brad, rhinestones and a Martha Stewart Border punch to decorate my card.

Thanks for visiting my blog today!
