Whimsy Stamps New November Release - Snowman & Friend

Hello All! Today I have a creation to show which uses the NEW Snowman and Friend image by Lee Holland.

This sweet image was colored using watercolors (Altenew water colors). I stamped onto Canson XL 140lbs watercolor paper with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.. I almost always use the smoother backside of the paper to my stamping images on. The background panel on the left side was stamped with the NEW Cozy Blanket BG stamp and Seedless Preserves Distress Ink. The die cut trees are the NEW Snowy Trees Die Set. I've added Glitter Snow to the trees branches for an even more snowy effect. The sentiment is from the You're My Jolly sentiment set that was released last month. To embellish my card I used some Stickles Stardust Glitter Glue on the snow and added a button and two Sparkletz stars.

Here are the products I used:

*NEW Snowman and Friend Rubber Cling Stamp   *NEW Cozy Blanket Background Rubber Cling Stamp   *NEW Snowy Trees Die Set      *NEW You're My Jolly Clear StampsDistress Ink Mini Pad - Seedless Preserves    Sparkletz - Crystal Stars  Nuve - Deluxe Adhesive

Crafty Foam Tape White    VersaFine CLAIR Ink Pad - Nocturne (black)      Stickles Glitter Glue - Star Dust

Have fun creating and don't forget to show your Whimsy creations in out FB group

Whimsy DT Call & a Teddylicious Birthday

Open Design Team Call!

Hello Crafting Friends! Whimsy Stamps has an open DT Call throughout the month of August! This is a rare opportunity for you to be on one of the best design teams in the industry! I should know as I am with Whimsy Stamps for 7 years already :-D
If you love Whimsy Stamps and like to be on a fun and popular team you have the chance to apply until August 31st. Please read all about it and how to apply HERE on the Whimsy Inspirations Blog!

On my card today I used Teddy Birthday Hat by Lee Holland colored with Copics. To add some extra interest to this CAS style card I created a polka dot see through panel.

Using the Polka Dot Fun clear stamp set I stamped with Versamark ink onto acetate and heat embossed with white embossing powder. If you are heat embossing on acetate it is important to use a thicker acetate sheet as it will withstand the heat better and wont warp. There are special acetate sheets for heat embossing available from several companies. Still be careful while embossing. You have to keep moving your heat gun constantly. Do not heat one spot too long. With this technique you want to use a little bit of heat often.

To create the doodled corners I used a stamp from the FADoodles clear set and the sentiment is from the Simple Sentiments set.

Copics used:

Teddy Fur: E50, E51, E53, W4
Teddy Nose and Foot Pads: E40, E42, E44, E47
White: W2, B00
Hat: G40, G43, G46 & Y11, Y15, Y38
Grey: W1, W3, W5
Outline: B00
Copic Colorless Blender

Whimsy Products used:

*NEW Teddy Birthday Hat     Polka Dot Fun

*NEW FaDoodles     *NEW Simple Sentiments

Thanks for visiting me here today. Hope to see you soon again!

Hugs,

Iris

Once again I colored using my Distress Markers. I am totally neglecting my Copics at the moment, I know...lol. But I just don't feel like Copic coloring at the moment....
These beautiful papers I've used are from Maja Design. I found them while browsing through my huge paper collection. I haven't bought any new designer papers for over a year now and I am so proud of myself :-D Aren't these colors so sweet, romantic and feminine? -love!- Perfect for an anniversary card. The Picket Fence die is also from Whimsy stamps as well as the sentiment banner die which is part of the *NEW* Card Builder - Many Thanks Die Set. The sentiment is from the  *NEW* Love is a Flower clear set. Flowers are mostly from WOC and the beautiful Guipure lace I found a while back at Walmart for an insanely good price. All other embellies are from my stash.

Ok and now onto the giveaway :-) Wanna now what is up for grabs? ;-) ....ok here we go...
