Ahoy Matey - Whimsy Stamps New Release!

Image
Yo Ho Ho! Ahoy, Me Hearties! It is new release time at Whimsy and all the amazing August goodies are on deck and available for you!  My new release creation showcases the NEW Pirate Party clear stamp set illustrated by Krista. I used earlier released products together with the new goodies. A short How-To and product links can be found below. How I created this card: I first stamped the images onto mixed media paper and colored them using watercolor markers. Then I fuzzy cut the images (there are also matching outline dies available for this stamp set).  Next I die cut the treasure map from bright blue cardstock. To add some texture I used the sun rays stencil and blue oxide ink and sprinkled on some white acrylic paint.  I die cut the word ARRGH with the word and shadow die from white and black cardstock. I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock and cut it out.  Finally I assembled all the parts onto a white A2 cardbase using foam tape and glue. A few sequins...

Get Well Soon!

Hey friends! Check out the newest release from Whimsy Stamps 💖 There are so many awesome products! Here is some inspiration using several of the new products: I combined the cute NEW Panda Get Well Stamp set and matching No Fuss Masks (sold seperately) with the NEW Get Well Soon Word and Shadow die. In addition I also used the earlier released Slimline Big BooBoo die set and Harlequin stencil. Here is a closer look on the images and background. I stamped the images onto kraft mixed media paper with Versafine Clair Nocturn ink. I then used the No-Fuss Masks to cover the Pandas to create my background. I used the Harlequin Stencil and Bundles Sage oxide ink and added sprinkles with black and white acrylic paint. After removing the No-Fuss Masks I colored the Pandas using watercolor markers (Staedtler and Ohuhu). Dream Big! & Yummy Cupcakes!

Hey Friends! Aren't Ellies just adorable? This little guy is from the recently released Elephantastic clear stamp set by Dustin Pike for Whimsy Stamps. I colored this cutie with my Derwent Inktense Blocks and Inktense Pencils and a waterbrush. I kept the design simple. I used the Sprinkles Scallops Rectangle die set to cut out my cardstock layers. To make the image pop I cut out the middle layer from a pink  sheet of the 6x6 Mix 'n Match 2 papers. The sentiment was stamped on two little tags that I cut out using the Bookmark & Tags die set. I used burlap string to attach them to the sheer pink  organza ribbon. 3 pink confetti sequins are the only embellishments in addition to the organza ribbon.  Here are two more cards I created using the Creative Cupcakes Quick Card Fronts (QCF's). All our QCF's make for fast, fun and easy cards! These cupcake QCFs are especially yummy and versatile for many occasions like birthdays, anniversaries etc. Just add som...
