Burst of Colors

Yo Ho Ho! Ahoy, Me Hearties! It is new release time at Whimsy and all the amazing August goodies are on deck and available for you!  My new release creation showcases the NEW Pirate Party clear stamp set illustrated by Krista. I used earlier released products together with the new goodies. A short How-To and product links can be found below. How I created this card: I first stamped the images onto mixed media paper and colored them using watercolor markers. Then I fuzzy cut the images (there are also matching outline dies available for this stamp set).  Next I die cut the treasure map from bright blue cardstock. To add some texture I used the sun rays stencil and blue oxide ink and sprinkled on some white acrylic paint.  I die cut the word ARRGH with the word and shadow die from white and black cardstock. I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock and cut it out.  Finally I assembled all the parts onto a white A2 cardbase using foam tape and glue. A few sequins...

Hey friends!   Here are two of my Whimsy  design team creations from Aprils release which I haven't had time to share with you yet! Life just happened and threw me a curve. So I am trying to catch up now. First up is a mixed media card which I had so much fun creating. I used one of my stashed gelly prints as background panel. Then I added texture by using different inks and stamps (scroll down for a list of supplies used). The image is from the Slay the Day clear stamp set as is the sentiment. This clear stamp set was just screaming 'mixed-media' at me when I saw it 😁 On my second card I am showcasing one of Krista's clear stamp sets called Butterfly Wishes. I colored the images using watercolor markers and pencils. I combined the cute images with the Rectangle Shaker Maker die set and the Lattice A2 die. All products used are linked below. Hi Everyone! Here are two more of my Whimsy creations using products from an earlier release in  January. On this one I used the super adorable Donkey Love clear stamp set with matching outline dies. I combined it with the Polaroid and Fun with Words 1 dies and the BG is from the 6x6 Chocolate Caramel Coffee paper set. The image was water colored with Stabilo Pen 68 brush markers and the background behind the image was inked with seedless preserves distress ink. A few sequins and crystals finish off my card. On my second card I combined the fun Polar Bear Birthday clear stamp set again with the Polaroid die. The image was again colored with Stabilo Pen 68 brush markers. In addition I used the elegant Snowflakes Border die  to add some wintery flair to my card. The BG paper is from the Blurry Flurries 6x6 pack.
