Let The Flowers Bloom...

Happy TGIF Everyone! - even if it is Friday the 13th! ;-) Are you all ready for the weekend? I know I am! Looking forward to soaking in some sun, relaxing, reading and also some craft time :-)
Ok onto my card now...today I have another Heartfelt Creation card for you...

I used the following stamp sets and dies for this card: Twining Clematis stamp set HCPC 3454, Malabar Clematis stamp set HCPC 3453 and Cross and Lilies Die set HCD 719. All of these are available through Dutch Paper Crafts! You'll find ordering instructions in almost every post at the very end! It's as easy as writing an email!!!
The embossed background is a Tim Holtz embossing folder from Sizzix and I distressed it with Distress Ink 'Pumice Stone' to give it a washed out stoney look. Ribbon, pearls, flower and metall embellishments are from my stash. The rose leave punch is from Nellie Snellen and also available at Dutch Paper Crafts

This photo shows the card from a different angle so you can see the dimension added to the image by using both stamp sets and cutting out single flowers with the matching dies. I then added the flowers using a 3D glue called Olbas. It's available here and perfect for the 3D technique.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,
Iris

Heartfelt Creations Cross and Lilies

Hello Everyone! It's the Easter week already. Do you have some egg coloring time on your schedules this week? I certainly do :-) I love coloring eggs and there are so many other traditions. So that means I usually color my eggs on Thursday which in Germany is called 'Gruendonnerstag' (lit.: Green Thursday) and if I'm not mistaken it translates as Maundy Thursday (please correct me if I'm wrong). It's also tradition in our family to have some green food on this Thursday like spinach etc. Then on Good Friday fish is on the menu (most likely salmon or tuna steaks for us) and I love to bake some traditional (and also try new recipes) cakes for the Easter weekend. Easter Sunday we like to celebrate with an ample Easter Brunch.

Well and I think my card I have for you today fits quite well for the theme Easter:

This beautiful cross is from a Heartfelt Creations stamp set (HCPC3450) and available from Dutch Paper Crafts HERE. As is the sentiment! Darlene put up a new video where she shows you the stamps and also matching dies from Spellbinders. Darlene always has awesome prices on her products and ordering is as easy as writing an emai!

The cross was stamped onto Neenah Classic Solar White extra smooth cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored using Copic markers. Then the cross was cut out by hand and adhered to the embellished cross using foam tape. The embellished cross is a Spellbinders die and also available HERE. DP is from Basic Grey, sorry can't remember from what collection as these were scraps.

The punched out flowers and leaves are made using Nellie Snellen rose punches. You can also order them from Darlene! She has not put up the video for these yet but they are already available. Just write her an email if you are interested!

I decorated the inside to match the outside and used a Clematis stamp (from the set HCPC 3454) to spice up the plain orange background paper a bit. I made another card using stamps from this set which I'll show you later this week! So stay tuned for more Heartfelt Creations projects from me this week!

Iris

Heartfelt Creations @ Dutch Paper Crafts - Part II

Hiya girls... as promised here is part two of my Heartfelt Creations Chateau Gate projects. These dies and stamps are all available now through DutchPaperCrafts! Darlene from DPC also made a fantasticf video where she shows the stamps and dies as well as Design Team projects! I'm showing you 3 projects today which means lots of pictures...hehe so please bear with me!

The first one is a card where I used the window die from the Chateau Gate die set ( HCD 718) and the stamps are from the sets Mystic Hideaway (HCPC 3445) and Window Accents (HCPC 3447):

My coloring was done with Copic markers. DP is from Basic Grey...sorry can't remember what collection. Sentiment is from SU! The leave die I used is also included in the Chateau Gate die set. All other embellies are from my stash.

For the grass I used flower soft, a mix of sage and pale green.

Here is my second card where I used the Doorway Trimmings Set (HCPC 3446) and the Palace Entry Set (HCPC 3443). This time I used the masking technique to combine the images and did not use any of the Chateau Gate dies.
Sorry I can't remember what papers I used but the Sentiment is from Cats Life Press and the branch die is a Marianne Design die (Branch Garden LR0151), also available through DutchPaperCrafts

********************************

Ok and last but not least I made a little simple note card. I used one of the flowers in vase images from the Doorway Trimmings Set (HCPC 3446)

Colored with Copics again and I just used different circle nesties, some DP (from my scrap box) and a brad to hold everything together. To open it just slide it open:

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope I'll see you all back here on Monday when
our new Belles 'n Whistles Challenge starts!
Have a great weekend!

Luv 'n hugs,
Iris

Heartfelt Creations Chateau Gate Collection @ Dutch Paper Crafts

Hello Friends!
Darlene from Dutch Paper Crafts just released another video and has now the Heartfelt Creations Chateau Gate Collection for sale! This is an awesome release and excellent for all door & window lovers! It includes beautiful gate/door and window stamps as well as gorgeous scenic stamps. And of course this is a stamp & die set which means you can get matching dies made by Spellbinders with the pre-cut stamp sets. Get the whole set for a special price or pick just the ones you like best. But you better hurry this great release is flying off the shelves!

I made 5 creations all together with this set and today I like to show you two of them. The rest will follow. You can also see all my creations as well as my DT-Teamie's Jennie's in Darlene's video HERE.

Everything is colored/airbrushed with Copics. I used the Chateau Gateway stamp HCPC 3441 but didn't ink up the whole stamp. Just the gate and part of the wall. This is a huge stamp and I know some are afraid using these large stamps. There's no need to be. I wanted to show how nice it can look and how easy it is to use just parts of it. The topiary tree is from the Doorway Trimmings Set HCPC 3446 and I cut it out by hand to use it as an entrance decoration. I also used the leave dies, which come with the Chateau Gate dies HCD 718, to decorate the other side of the gate.

Here is a close-up on the door

My second creation is a tag:

First I stamped the scene with the table (set HCPC 3444) onto Make it Color card with Memento tuxedo black ink and colored it using my Copics. Then I stamped the open window from the Grand Portal set (HCPC 3442) onto acetate with Staz-on black ink. I adhered the acetate over my stamped image. Then cut out the large curved window from the Chateau Gate die set and just used the embellished frame.
The leave die is from Marianne design and not part of the release but also available at Dutch Paper Crafts. It's called Branch Forest LR0150. Sentiment, flowers and ribbon are from my stash.

A closer look on the window

This really is a very versatile stamp/die set for many different occasions. And even great for making the always more difficult male cards. Check out Darlene's video HERE and get inspired. Oh and I just saw that on the Heartfelt Creations store site the dies are out of stock already until the end of March! But Darlene still has some in stock so you better be quick getting yours! I'll guess they will be gone soon as well!

Thanks for visiting me today and please come back Thursday
for more Heartfelt Creations Inspiration from me!

Luv 'n hugs,
Iris
