lovely-hAnglar-only Challenge 32 Starting Today!

Happy Sunday & Welcome to our 32nd lovely-hAnglar-only challenge! Today we have a color challenge for you: purple/violet & cream. And this is what I came up with:

I started on making my Christmas cards and I thought this cute girl would look great in purple & cream. I colored her using my Copics. She was stamped onto Make it Color card stock from Make it Crafty. This was my first time using the MiC card stock and I have to admit it's GREAT!!! I heard everyone talking about this great card stock and wanted to try it out as well. A dear friend of mine sent me some samples so I could try before buying it! (Thanks again so much :-))) ) I'll definitely will buy some of it. What's the best is the 'no bleending' no matter how many layers you put on! Blending is very smooth as well! I can say it is in my Top 3 for Copic coloring card stock!

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to join in this fun challenge over at the lovely-hAnglar-only challenge blog. You have until September 10th 6pm CEST to enter!

LHO Challenge 31 - Vacation

Hello & Happy Sunday to All of You! Vacation is the theme of our new lovely-hAnglar-only challenge, starting today! Oh boy...this was quite a challenge for me. I couldn't find a matching stamp in my stash of hAnglars so I had to wing it a bit. I picked this cute running girl and decided she is going on a fitness vacation, how about that?
(for larger view click on the photos)
This time I colored with distress inks for a change. Colors used are: skin- tattered rose, tea dye, vintage photo; hair- antique linen, vintage photo, walnut stain; cloth- wild honey, spiced marmalade, bundled sage, pine needles and walnut stain to shade. To color her sneakers I used twinkling H2O's.
DP is from MME Stella & Rose collection 'Mabel'. Sentiment is from Whimsy's Vintage Travel Collection. Dies and punches used: EK Success, Magnolia, Marianne Design. Flowers are from Prima, Kaisercraft, Whimsy. Other embellishments used: ribbon, buttons, lace, Stickles, half-pearls, spacers, metal flower, pearl brad.

New LHO Challenge Today - Embossing

Happy Sunday Stamping Friends! Today starts a new fortnightly lovely-hAnglar-only challenge with the theme 'Embossing'. No matter if you prefer heat embossing, embossing with folders and your die cutting machines or love to emboss using stencils and a hand embossing tool. We want to see some embossing on you projects.

I did something different today. I used this sweet hAnglar girl, stamped it with pink pigment ink and heat embossed using 2 different embossing powders. I used a pink - was a little too pink for my liking - and mixed it with a burgundy colored embossing powder. I like the sprinkled look it has now. And I decided not to color the image for a change. I wanted the embossing to stand out. I also did some dry embossing using a Cuttlebug folder. DP is from Basic Grey, sentiment from Whimsy and all other embellies from my stash.

Please visit my fellow DT sisters blogs for their embossing creations and I hope to see you over at our lovely-hAnglar-only challenge blog. Have a wonderful Sunday!

Bookmark with Origami Flower

Happy Sunday Everyone! Over at our lovely-hAnglar-only challenge blog is a new challenge starting today! This fortnights theme is a color challenge:
Blue-Brown-Cream

For my challenge creation I made a corner bookmark with an Origami flower dangle. It is called a Kusudama flower. When browsing the web a few weeks ago I saw a bookmark with a flower like that attached and just loved the idea and wanted to try it. Unfortunately I don't know anymore where it was.
This was actually my first try with Origami at all. So please be lenient with me as it is not perfect at all. But I had so much fun folding and assembling it. I'm pretty sure I like to try some more Origami folding in the future! I colored the image using Copics and airbrushed around it. The DP is a digital paper from Nitwitt Designs.

I colored the image using Copics and airbrushed around it. Color used are E11, E01, E00 & E000 for skin -  Blues: B21, B24, B28 - Brown/Hair: E31, E34, E39 - Cream: E40, E41, E43 - Wings: B000, B0000 - Airbrushing: E42

And here's a close-up on the Kusudama flower. For the dangle I used a brown ribbon and also attached a few pearls to it (can't be seen in this photo). As the flower center I added a button.

The DP is digital paper from Nitwitt Designs. Dies and punches used are Spellbinders and EK Success. Rhinestone swirls are from Recollections.

I hope you like to join in our fun challenge and I'm looking forward seeing your creation HERE

Thanks for stopping by and please come back tomorrow for the start of a new BnW challenge :-)
