Pickleball Queen

Image
Hey folks - Happy Tuesday! Are you into playing Pickleball or know someone who does?  Whimsy Stamps has a new Pickleball stamp as well as a new Pickleball die set in the store. It's super cute and here are two cards I made using both sets. Both cards are quickly made thanks to these awesome sets. I combined it with the NEW Mix and Match Scallop Rectangles to achieve a layered look. My embellishments - confetti sequins and crystals - are from my friend Lisa's store 'This Calls For Confetti' . Bee Cute - Whimsy Stamps Mini Release Quick Card Fronts

Image
Happy April Fools Day! Not fooling around here though! There is a super cute mini release today at Whimsy Stamps and these super cute Quick Card Fronts - Bee Cute are available in the store now. As well as a brand new set of nesting Mix and Match Marquee dies. They are a perfect match with these new Quick Card Fronts and give you tons of options. I have two examples to share today using both of the new products. My first card is a bit more lavish. When I saw this cute image I knew I wanted to use mulberry flowers with it. I still have boxes full of these pretty flowers from when I did more of the shabby chic style of cards. So it was a nice change to dig through all the pretty flowers once again and pick matching ones for my card and then start decorating it.  I actually just wanted to show you how versatile these QCF's are and that they go with every card style. May it be clean and simple like my second card or more sumptuous like the first card here. Your options with th...

Let's Go Team!

It's the first of August and that means it's time for a Whimsy release! I am showcasing several of the new products on my card! You'll find all the new products in the store HERE . On my A2 sized card I used the NEW Pink Plaids 6x6 papers to create my background. I combined the NEW Cheerleaders die set with the NEW Let's Play Sports clear stamp set as my focal points. The extra  separate pom pom dies make it easy to customize your die cuts. I opted for white glitter paper to add some bling to my card. You could also customize them to match your favorite sports or school team. A few matching sequins from ' This Calls For Confetti ' finish off my card. Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome Baby

Hey Crafty Friends! On my card today I am showcasing a super cute stamp set illustrated by Crissy Armstrong and available @ Whimsy Stamps . It's called Critter Babies. My cardbase is A2 size from kraft cardstock. I applied a watercolor wash on mixed media paper using Kitsch Flamingo Distress Refill Ink. The images were colored using Stabilo Pen 68 Brush Pens. I mounted the images onto glitter cloud which I die cut from white glitter paper using the NEW Ripples Die Set. I wrapped burlap twine around the background layer and adhered the glitter cloud with a cloth pin. To give more stability to the images I also added some foam tape underneath. The sentiment was partly stamped onto the background layer and also white cardstock and cut out using the Simple Sentiment Strips. Sequins and Crystals used to embellish my card can all be found @ This Calls For Confetti. Products used on my card     Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Campers

Gone Camping!  Yeah well - noooo not so much...hahaha. I have to admit I don't like camping. I would rather spend my vacation time at home than in a tent or camper. Just not my thing.   Nevertheless the 'Gone Camping' clear stamp set from Whimsy is absolutely fabulous! I had so much fun creating this card and it is a fairly quick card to make as well. Read below how I did it.  I used Strathmore Mixed Media paper for my background. I like this best for ink blending. You either like to use it to blend inks or you hate it. Some say the ink is 'swimming' and not staying in place.  I have found that as long as I don't over do it with the ink it works fine for me. Sometimes I heat set it to help it dry more quickly. I can definitely achieve the smoothest blends with this paper. After inking my BG with Distress inks I stamped the trees and fire place. Then I took a white gel pen and added the stars. The tent and sentiment I stamped on white mixed media paper, color...

Just Bee Cause - Bees and a Shaker Bauble

Image
Happy Monday Everyone! It's the 20th of the month and that means it is time for another Whimsy Stamps Mini Release . I am showcasing a super cute bee clear stamp set by Krista Heij-Barber called Bee Happy .  I thought this stamp is perfect for creating a shaker card. I am using the new shaker bauble bubbles from This Calls for Confetti as well as some of their Confetti mixes. I combined different confetti mixes and added some sequins to create my shaker mix.  I colored the cute bee images using Copics and pencils. The little bee who is burrowing it's head in the flower was added beneath the bauble together with the shaker mix. The other images are on top of the bauble as is the sentiment - which is included in the stamp set. To create the frame around the shaker bauble I used the large frame from Whimsy's Shaker Maker Rectangle set. It fits perfectly with the large bauble bubble. I cut out the frame once from white cardstock and a second time from yellow cardsto...
