Whimsy Stamps December Release - Hey Ostrich

Image
Hey Crafty Friends! I have so much fun playing with my radiant liquid watercolors lately. These fun ostriches from Whimsy's NEW Hey Ostrich set (newest release) are my latest watercolor victims...haha. There is a list of colors used further below. Their faces are just too funny makes me smile every time I look at them. I combined them with the NEW Slimline Swiss Dots die . I'm in love with that die. I knew these two new products would make an awesome combination.  I went for gray and pink as my main colors. To add some interest to the plain gray cardstock I added sprinkles of white (Dr. Ph. Martins Bleed Proof White), pink (Distress Oxide Spray Spun Sugar) and shimmer (Liquid Fairy Dust). I also made the largest dot in the middle a shaker and filled it with lots of matching sequins, Sprinkletz and Sparkletz. Here is a list of the Liquid Radiant Watercolors (Dr. Ph. Martins) I used: Moss Rose Amber Yellow Ice Blue Saddle Brown Sepia Black Bleed Proof White Whimsy products use...

The penguins were colored with radiant liquid watercolors.     Thank you for visiting. Have a great weekend and stay safe!  Hugs,

Wonky Donkey - Older Than Dirt

Image
Hi Friends! Here is another card using a stamp set from the newest Whimsy release, called Wonky Donkey by Dustin Pike. To provide the perfect setting for the card I had in mind I used the  Slimline Fancy Frame die set  and the  Comic Speech Bubble  die set  to showcase the  Wonky Donkey s. So, I had a fun video chat recently with my DT sisters Alanna and Faye and we decided to have some fun with these cute donkey s . We all used different coloring mediums to color. It is so much fun to see how different they all turned out and how you can change them up only by using a different coloring medium. Please visit my friends blogs to see their amazing creations. You can see Alanna's card  done with Copics  HERE and Faye's card done with pencils  HERE .   As for me I used watercolors. I used Dr. Ph. Martin's Radiant Concentrated Watercolors on Bristol smooth cardstock and a waterbrush. I love these liquid watercolors, they are so easy...

Smile for the Holidays

Hello Friends! It's Whimsy release time! There are fabulous new products in this release. One of them is the New Selfies die set I am using on my card below. I combined it with the cute Santa from the Warm Fuzzies clear set that has been released in October.  I watercolored with Mijello Gold watercolors and added some detail with F.C. Albrecht Durer pencils. I love this combination of coloring products because with the Albrecht Durer watercolor pencils you can add details and then soften it with a damp brush as you please. The background was dry embossed using the Twinkle stencil and a die cutting maching set up with a sandwich that includes one or two rubber mats. The embossing is much more pronounced in real life than it shows in the photos. Whimsy products used:                   Thanks for stopping by today! Hugs,
