Jungle Babies - Whimsy Stamps March Release

Image
Happy Weekend Friends! The Whimsy New Release celebrations continue today. My second card for the release shows the adorable  NEW Jungle Babies by Deb Davis. I stamped these stinkin' cute animal babies and leaves with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto Hammermill 100lbs color copy paper. This is my favorite paper to use if I plan to color with Copics. (see list of colors used below). I then fussy cut the images. I also used 2 dies from the NEW Pierced and Stitched Circles die set to cut out the frame from green cardstock for my background window. I used the 4th and 5th largest of the dies.  For my circle background window I cut a circle with the 4th largest die of the  Pierced and Stitched Circles  die set from 140 lbs mixed media paper (I prefer Strathmore). To create the blue background I used ZIG clean color brush pens in blue and cobalt blue. Added lots of water with a number 8 silver black velvet brush to create a wash. I then sprinkled on some clear w...

Lamb Double Slider - Whimsy March 2019 Release

Image
Hello Fellow Crafters! It's the time of the month again...Woohooo!  Whimsy NEW  Release Time ! Today I want to show you a Double Slider Card I've created using the NEW Slider Lamb , NEW Up in the Clouds Die set, New Special large word die and some of the Kinetics dies . So what I wanted my slider card to do is that the lamb slides to the left while the clouds are sliding to the right. And all of the slider mechanisms had to be hidden. To make this possible I used some dies of the Whimsy No-See Kinetcs Basic and Kinetcs Curved Hills die set s as well as a self-created slider mechanism (which I found with the help of youtube). I will ahve a step by step tutorial bit later this month coming up on my blog here. Meanwhile I have a little video for you to show my card in action: It is so much fun to create these slider cards and Whimsy's collection of kinetic dies make it so easy! If you don't know these dies yet make sure and check them out HERE . In this mont...

Epic Birthday Wishes

Image
Happy Saturday All! I have a birthday card to share to today. It's for a special crafty friend of mine and I hope she'll like it :-) I used the Woolly Mammoth   red rubber cling stamp from Whimsy's Crissy Armstrong collection. I just love all of Crissys animal images and the adorable mammoth is no exception! I colored the adorable mammoth using my Copics (E21, E23, E25, E29, E95, W4, W2, W0) and fussy cut it. I kept my card real simple and only used a panel of an older Graphic45 DP as background for my image. Here is a closer look at the cute primeval creature. I used FA Doodles to add some details and a few sequins and glitter enamel dot to embellish this clean and simple card. Whimsy store goodies:                                   Thanks for visiting! Hugs,
