Lets Get Spooky in the Haunted House

Image
Hello to all my Halloween Friends! Whimsy's newest Halloween release just hit the shelves and I have tow cards to share today. On my first creation I combined the NEW Exquisite Lace, NEW Exquisite Beauty, NEW Home Sweet Haunted Home and NEW Harlequin stencil on a mixed media style card. These new stamps and stencil are just perfect for mixed media creations. In addition to the new products I also used earlier released dies: Treasure Map die set and Bookmark and Tags die set. Here is a quick How-To: I die cut the treasure map from kraft cardstock to use it as a background panel. I also die cut it 3 three times from thick cardstock and layered it to make it nice and sturdy. I then stamped the lace images onto the kraft treasure map panel, the smaller lace onto an extra piece of kraft cardstock. The moth was stamped onto purple cardstock and cut out. I distressed all pieces with tea dye and seedless preserves Distress Oxide Ink as well as white pigment ink. In addition to the lace...

Hello Crafty Friends. I can't believe it's this time of the year already where we start with our Halloween creations @ Whimsy Stamps. Yesterday Whimsy released the first batch of its Halloween products. Of course over the next several weeks there will be more and we have sweet and also creepy Halloween products for you! So keep your eyes peeled for more Halloween fun to come! My first Halloween creation for this season is on the cute side. I used the adorable Halloween Night stamp set illustrated by Crissy Armstrong. My friend Crissy draws the most adorable Halloween images.  I combined it with the New Nested Web die set and New Batty die set. The papers are from the also newly released Bookeh 6x6 paper pack. I made a shaker out of the web die and filled with the polymer clay Halloween Night mix from This Calls For Confetti. Links to all products used can be found below. I colored the cute images with my Stabilo 68 pens and a waterbrush. Whimsy products: This Cal...

YAY! - Back To School!

Hey stamping friends! I am combining three newly released (August 1st) Whimsy Stamps products on my card as well as a shaker pouch and a pearl mix from This Calls For Confetti .  This cute and funny Dragon image is from Whimsy's exclusive Dustin Pike collection and I combined it with the YAY! word and shadow die as well as the Pink Plaid 6x6 papers. All the products are from August releases and brand new available in the Whimsy store! After I finished coloring my images with Karin Brush Markers Pro I decided it would look awesome to include a shaker element on my card.  My friend Lisa the owner of This Calls For Confetti has awesome options for shaker pouches and fillings in her store! I went with a cute heart shaker pouch and the Citrus Berry Diamond Pearl Mix.  A few confetti sequins in matching colors finish off my card. On my card I am showcasing both,  the NEW Blimey Pirates clear stamp set and matching NEW Blimey Pirates Outline Dies . They are both available now in the S TORE . Please scroll down for all products links. I used Distress Oxide inks, masking paper, blending brushes and a water spritzer to create my background. I stamped the images onto Strathmore Mixed Media paper with a hybrid ink. I colored with waterbased markers as well as alcohol markers. After die cutting the images with the matching outline dies I adhered them using foam tape. I stamped the sentiment with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink and added a few glossy black sequins from This Calls for Confetti. It's the first of August and that means it's time for a Whimsy release! I am showcasing several of the new products on my card! You'll find all the new products in the store HERE . On my A2 sized card I used the NEW Pink Plaids 6x6 papers to create my background. I combined the NEW Cheerleaders die set with the NEW Let's Play Sports clear stamp set as my focal points. The extra  separate pom pom dies make it easy to customize your die cuts. I opted for white glitter paper to add some bling to my card. You could also customize them to match your favorite sports or school team. A few matching sequins from ' This Calls For Confetti ' finish off my card. Thanks for stopping by!
