ISB Challenge - Travel & Vacation

Image
Hi all and a very happy Sunday! I hope everyone of you had a fabulous weekend so far! It's Sunday and that means it's challenge time again! A new ISB challenge is starting today with a very appropriate theme for this time of the year: TRAVEL & VACATION ! What a wide-ranging theme! After digging into my stamps I came up with this cute little surfing Tilda; what brilliant match for the theme don't you think so too? I colored Tilda using Copics and my Copic Airbrush System. For a list of Copics used scroll all the way down in this posting. The DP I've used is from Basic Grey called 'Max & Whiskers'. CS is DCWV and Bazzill.  On the waves I've used Glitter and Stickles 'Frosty Lace'. To give the air bubbles a dimensional look I added some 3D glaze. I colored the water using the Copic Airbrush System and airbrushed over Tilda's legs so it looks like her feet and legs are submerged in the water. The sentiment stamp is from magnolia

All Pink Bookmark - ROP DT

Hi All and Happy Middle of the Week! It's been a very busy day so far that's why I'll cut it very short. I still got a lot of errands to run and I'm far from done...argh! I like to show you a bookmark I made recently by customer order. I stamped cute Tilda with Spring Bundle (currently available at Roses on Paper) with Archival Ink on 300g / 140 lbs hot press watercolor paper. Tilda was colored using my Distress Ink Pads and Refills .   I used a little flowersoft to make the flower bundle in her arm pop. DP is from my stash and the heart punch is from MS. The little dew drops are epoxy stickers from Recollections. The Ladybug is a Magnolia stamp as well from one of  last years Spring/Summer collections. On the back is a custom saying (garbled for privacy reasons). Enjoy the rest of your day and thanks for taking the time and visiting me here today! Hugs,

Card Box Tutorial

Image
Hello everyone and thanks for stopping by my blog today. I was asked by a few people if I could show a  tutorial on how I make my little card boxes. It's my pleasure to do so but bare with me as I'm not very good explaining stuff and making tutorials...LOL! :-) I make these little boxes especially for cards that have lots of layers or when I embellish with dimensional flowers. They wont fit in regular envelopes. These little boxes are very simple and easy to make and it doesn't take long nor needs it a lot of effort. Ok gather your supplies, you'll need: scissors scoring board bone folder paper cutter ruler card stock preferred adhesive/glue DP and embellies to decorate box This is the card I'll be making my card box for.  I made the card quite a while ago and due to the large flowers it doesn't fit in a regular envelope. My card measures 6.5" x 5.5". I need a box that is a little larger to fit my card easily as the bow and leaves are overlapp

Hello Friends and Happy Monday!   Wow! I just found out I made the Top 3 at Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge with my little altered Journal. The one I made for my daughter. Woohoo thanks so much I am thrilled and this really sweetens my day! :-) Ok now onto our new Belles 'n Whistles Challenge! This time it is fabulous Jodi who is our host this week and she says: Make it monochromatic! Fabulous idea! I love monochrome. For my all pink card I chose ' Clowning Around' (which is available at Belles 'n Whistels right now!) and colored sweet Belle with my Distress Inks. I stamped with Archival Ink onto hot pressed watercolor paper. I also enter this card in this weeks challenge at Friday Sketchers . Belle's clown suit is paper pieced and I added shadows with Victorian Velvet to give it some depth. I used one of Tim Holtz new embossing folders together with Core'dinations 'White Wash' paper (which I sanded after embossing) to get a little structured
