Darling Dasies CAS - Whimsy DT
Happy Thursday all! Hope you are all well and looking forward to a great weekend! Just one more day to go, hehe =). I hope to spent some time this weekend at the beach. Forecast says it's going to be nice. Looking forward to a nice long walk....I so enjoy walking on the beach. It clears my mind and is totally relaxing.
For my card today I used one of the new and aswesome Whimsy rubber stamp sets called Darling Daisies from Chrissies collection. This is a fantastic set and was just the perfect stamp for my One Layer Card. This is very unusual and virgin soil for me but I so wanted to try this. And what is also new for me is to color on kraft CS. I used Pencils (I use Prismas, Colorsoft and Polychromos) & OMS. I saw this technique on a few blogs lately including my DT sister Ann's blog. And I loved the way it looked. I had to give it a try. And this is what my card looks like:
The sentiment is also from the Darling Daisies set and the ribbon from my stash. But I had to use a little bling so I added Stickles to the flower centers.
Here's a close-up.
I like to enter this card into the Less is More: One Layer Card w/ the theme of a flower or tree challenge.
Thanks for taking the time and dropping by today. Hope you like my card even if it's a complete different style to what I'm usually doing, LOL.
Hugs to all and have a great rest of the week and weekend.
I'll be back after the weekend ;-)
You have achieved a fabulous effect with your colouring, those pencils certainly did the job on this great image.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for joining us this week and we hope you'll be back for another challenge at the weekend!
