Image
Happy 1st Advent everyone!!! Now the Christmas season officially started ..wow how time flies. Can't believe it's almost the last month of the year. Have you already all your Christmas cards and gifts ready? If not we have a nice idea today for a small gift & card in one over at the lovely-hanglar-only challenge today. A Tealight Card . Nicole is our host today and the DT came up with gorgeous creations and each is different! So that's a lot of inspiration for you. Hope you like to join us and if you never tried to make one of these fun cards it's your chance now. It really is easy and there are lot of tutorials out on the web too! Here is my version of a tealight card:   The DP is from Karen Foster and this card was really easy to make using double sided DP. I colored the little hAnglar boy with my Copics (face: E13,11,00,000, R21,R00, hair: E25, 31,50, blue: B91,95, red R37 & grey C01, ) Dies I used are from Magnolia, Spellbinders and the brand new Whi...

Hello everyone! Thanks for visiting my blog today! I like to show you a card with a super adorable image called ' Elf Bell Mouse '. This is one of the new Whimsy Christmas Stamps designed by Meljen's Designs . I colored the cute mouse using my Copics. The beautiful Designer Paper is from the brand new Whimsy Designer Paper Collection called 'Very Merry' . This paper is just awesome and made from highest quality paper! The Very Merry paper pad has bright and rich colors and was just perfect for the card I had in mind. The sentiment is also from Whimsy and called Holiday Ticket Sentiments by Raindrop Echo Designs. I cut it out using the Ticket Die from Whimsy's Shapeology Die Collection . The large poinsettia  is made with a bosskut die and I also used DP to cut out the poinsettia and added lots of Stickles. The swirl is a Marianne Design Die. I cut it out using glitter paper and added some rhinestones and pearls for accents. I chose a green ribbon and atta...

Image
Happy Monday all and welcome to our newest Belles 'n Whistles Challenge ! Our lovely Anki is our host and she made a great sketch ! But wait that's not it, it's not only a simple sketch challenge , nooooo ;-)! She also wants you to use bold winter colors on your project! Ok here is the sketch: And here is what I came up with using the sketch, bold (bright and rich) winter colors and the Snow Angel Snowbaby : I colored with my Copics (see pic at the end of this posting) and the little snow piles next to her feet I made using Aleene's True Snow sprinkled with fine glitter (MS). The DP is from Bo Bunny's Winter Joy Collection. The Sentiment is Cats Life Press. The large snowflake is a Marianne Design die and I added stardust sparkle brad from Karen Foster. The snowman charm and silver snowflake is from my stash.  The inside is pretty plain. I just added a punched out (MS) glitter snowflake and some matching rhinestones. Here are the Copics I've used:...

It's Your Day!

Hello & Happy TGIF! I'll keep this short and sweet today 'cause I still have tons of things to do before I can start into the weekend. So I'll get right to my card. This is another commissioned card I made  a while ago and it is also a male card again. The image & sentiment is from Whiff of Joy and was colored with Copics. DP was from my scrap box so I'm not quite sure what brand it was but I think it's from Bo Bunny. The star was cut out using a Spellbinders die and the buttons are from my stash. I distressed around the edges with Walnut Stain. I decorated the inside as well. To mach the outside I also added a green button to the star but this one is made of felt so it is more flat and the card can be closed a little easier. The sentiment is from Whimsy designed by Raindrop Echo Designs and called Birthday Letter Seals . Note to Heike:  This is the card for Frank! ;-) Thanks for visiting me today and ave a wonderful day!

Hello peeps and thanks for dropping by today!   Before I go on to my card for today I like to share some news with you. I just found out that I made Top 3 at the Paper Sundae Challenge ..woohooo! What a start into the day! :-) Thank you to the ladies from Paper Sundae for picking me as one of your Top 3! You really made my day!!! Onto my card for today now. On Tuesday there was a special digi release from Meljens Designs over at Whimsy Stamps. Melissa created super adorable images in honor of her Dad and his favorite things! This image is one of them and isn't he stinking cute? He is called 'Fisher Moose' and just perfect for male cards. I colored him using my Copics and the DP is from Basic Greys Archaic paper pad which I think is also great for masculine cards. The Sentiment is also availabe at Meljens Designs in the Whimsy store. The Sketch I used is from Friday Sketchers . I did not add too much embellies on this card to keep it more clean for the masculine...

Happy Wednesday all! It's already the middle of the week...whew time is flying. Are yuou ready for the holidays yet? Well I'm so looking forward to them and the time before Christmas, my absolute favorite time of the year! I am also still in the middle of finishing Christmas cards. But inbetween it is so nice to make a different card like the one I can show you today. It's a birthday card and the image I used is from The Pixie Cottage called "Pepe the Penguin as Le Chef"!  Isn't he soooooooooo cute?   I also have some news to share. Michelle Offenberger the owner of The Pixie Cottage Stamps asked me if I would like to be a guest designer for one month for The Pixie Cottage . What an honor and of course I gladly accepted! So I am a GDT for the month of January :-) YAY! For my GDT work Michelle sent me some stamps from her stamp line (my choice) and this cute little Penguin is one of the stamps I chose. And even if it is not my month yet as a GDT I am allowe...
