2. 'hAnglar only challenge' - Shabby Chic
Happy Sunday and welcome to our 2. 'lovely hAnglar only' challenge! I have to tell you we were really blown away by the huge response we got from all of you with our hAnglar challenge blog. Never in our wildest dreams would we have imagined such a success. THANKS to all of you wonderful people who participated and spread the word on your own blogs! The 'Top 3' are chosen and believe me that was in deed a hard decision to make. All of you did an amazing job with these lovely hAnglar cuties! There will also be a little surprise for the no. 1 winner, so make sure and check our blog and get the TOP 3 blinkie if you are a lucky winner! ;-)
Onto our 2. 'lovely hAnglar only' challenge now. This time our wonderful talented Ilona is our host and she chose the following theme
Shabby-Chic
So she wants us to create a shabby chic card/project which means vintagey flair and lots of distressing. The image I used is from the 'Jul Kit 1' from 2008. I stamped onto 140 lbs / 300g hot pressed Lanaquarell watercolor paper using Archival Ink. My image was colored with distress inks (just ink pads this time).
The DP is from Basic Grey (Sugared) and K&Company (Ancestry). The punches I used are from Martha Stewart and Emagination (tag). The little round sentiment stamp is from Autumn Leaves. I used Distress Crackle paint on the chipboard heart and lots of Stickles all over the card (Stickles used: Platinum, Starlight, and Coffee Ice). My chandelier garland is from Michaels, I found it in the wedding section. Here are some more close ups:
The sketch I used is from Friday Sketcher #106 and my entry there.
Hopefully I could get you a little inspired and please don't forget to check the blogs of my fellow DT sisters Ilona, Marina und Nicole for even more inspiration. I hope that you'll all join us for our 2. challenge as well! Can't wait to see what you all will come up with this time!
Distress Inks used:
Skin: Antique Linen, Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Aged Mahagony (for cheeks)
Hair: Brushed Corduraoy and Black Soot
Cloth: Spun Sugar, Victorian Velvet, Weathered Wood, Antique Linen, Tea Dye
All Papers & Flowers are distressed with Walnut Stain, around the image I distressed using Antique Linen and Walnut Stain
Have a wonderful Sunday and thanks for stopping by and any comment you may leave is highly appreciated.
