Hello Friends and Happy Monday! Wow! I just found out I made the Top 3 at Wild Orchid Crafts Challenge with my little altered Journal. The one I made for my daughter. Woohoo thanks so much I am thrilled and this really sweetens my day! :-)
Ok now onto our new Belles 'n Whistles Challenge! This time it is fabulous Jodi who is our host this week and she says:
Make it monochromatic!
Fabulous idea! I love monochrome. For my all pink card I chose 'Clowning Around' (which is available at Belles 'n Whistels right now!) and colored sweet Belle with my Distress Inks. I stamped with Archival Ink onto hot pressed watercolor paper. I also enter this card in this weeks challenge at Friday Sketchers.
Belle's clown suit is paper pieced and I added shadows with Victorian Velvet to give it some depth.
I used one of Tim Holtz new embossing folders together with Core'dinations 'White Wash' paper (which I sanded after embossing) to get a little structured effect on the vertical panel as well as on the tag.
I also added Stickles (Star Dust, Cotton Candy and Coffee Ice) to the image and also the rest of the card.
The circle sentiment is from Whimsy's new release and the flowers and flat back button are from my stash. I also used a Viva Decor Pearl Pen (lilac) for adding the pearls.
The tag is the new Magnolia Doo Hickey die and the sentiment on the tag is from SU! The large rose is from Michaels and the leaf punch from 'Punch Bunch'.
DP is from Memory Box and from my stash. The picked fence punch is from MS.
Again I made a matching box for the card instead of an evelope.
This card was a custom order and is sold.
Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look around on my blog! I hope you like to join us in this weeks fun challenge and for some more inspiration please visit the Belles 'n Whistles blog and also my fellow DT sisters blogs to see their stunning creations!
