Celebrate - The Robotic Way

Image
Happy Saturday Crafty Friends! Its a slightly cooler morning here on the Space Coast and we are enjoying the pleasant temperatures. We had the day off yesterday and are enjoying a 4-day weekend! Woohoo! I was so looking forward to that and to spending some relaxing crafty time in my studio. Ok but now without further ado here is my first Whimsy creation for today. I adore these cute little robots 😍 from the 'Robots' clear stamp set illustrated by Dustin Pike and exclusively available at Whimsy Stamps. My images were colored using my Art-n-Fly alcohol marker. I combined the  Robots clear stamp set with the Celebrate Balloons clear stamp set from Whimsy's Barbara Sproatmeyer colletcion and the Peekaboo Window 5 die. Whimsy products used: Thanks for visiting! Hugs,

Hello Imagination and a Beachy Scene

Image
Happy TGIF and Hello Imagination!  No creativity without imagination - these two belong together. Imagination gives my brain a booster to be creative in many ways and come up with all sorts of creative ideas. Did you know that passive activities like reading can be a trigger for more creativity and simple everyday tasks like walking and cooking usually calm our brain and can boost imagination.  To create this card I used the NEW Woolly Bear Kids - Imagination clear stamp set by Barbara Sproatmeyer, exclusively available from Whimsy Stamps. I combined it with the SL Gullivers Garden papers and the Hello Word and Shadow die set. To finish up my card I've added some glitter glue and Wheat Sparkle Gems from This Calls for Confetti. On my second card I used the NEW Seashells and Sunshine rubber stamp which I colored using Karin Brush Marker Pro. The sentiment is from the NEW Special Day clear stamp set. To embellish my card I've added some Stickles glitter glue 'Stardust...

Happy Friends Day - Whimsy Stamps New Release

Image
Happy Sunday Crafty Friends! The new release hit the Whimsy Stamps   store shelves yesterday and it's all about Summer & Celebration! 🌞🌞🌞 As a Florida resident of course this NEW Beach Babe s Flamingo clear stamp set was right up my alley 🦩🦩🦩. I colored the image using Karin Brush Markers and a waterbrush. I created the water splash background using the Puddles stencil. The Weird-O Frame that was released earlier this month was used to frame the image. I cut out the frame in black and pink and layered it with pink on top. This gives a bit more depth as you can see the black on the edges of the frame. The sentiment, which is included with the clear stamp set, was stamped with white pigment ink onto black cardstock and also heat embossed in white. I used Clear Dew Drops from This Calls For Confetti to embellish my card. Please find below all the Whimsy Stamps and This Calls For Confetti products I've used on my card. Cute Little Monster

Image
Happy Weekend! 'Monster Cuties' is the name of this newly released clear stamp set illustrated by Crissy Armstrong and exclusively available in the Whimsy store now. I started out with a dark teal A2, top-fold card base. I inked the background with Distress Oxide ink Salvaged Patina using the 'Brick Pattern Stencil'. Then I cut out the NEW Weird-O Frame die from white cardstock and the dots from patterned paper (a gelli print scrap I had laying around) and white glitter paper.  I stamped the 'Monster Cuties' onto Strathmore Mixed Media Paper with Versafine Onyx. I colored the images using FC Albrecht Dürer watercolor pencils. The sentiment was stamped onto mixed media paper as well and cut out with the 'Quick Strip' die set' and 'Simple Sentument Strips' die set. I arranged everything on my card front and adhered it with liquid glue and foam squares/dots. As a finishing touch I added some Stardust Stickles and glazed sequin confetti ...

Thank You For Your Service!

Happy Sunday ! Here is some more inspiration from Whimsy's newest release showcasing the newest military dies in the collection. I opted for a slimline card and it is (besides the little sentiment) a dies-only card. I also used the Slimline Military Papers to cut out some of the clothes parts of the NEW Military Profiles. Thanks for your visit!

Life is Sweet!

Image
Are you ready for another Whimsy release? Here it comes! Today my creation is all about juicy sweetness.....like ice cream on a hot Summer day! How I created my card: I first inked up a white cardstock panel using Distress Oxide inks in an array of rainbow colors. I then die cut the juicy pieces using the NEW Juicy Die Set. I then stamped the ice cream images from the NEW Sweet Summer Fun clear stamp set onto alcohol ink friendly cardstock. I colored them using Ohuhu Honolulu markers and fussy cut them. The sentiment that is included with the stamp set was stamped onto white cardstock, cut out and layered onto a slightly larger piece of black cardstock. Now it is time to assemble the card. On a white A2 sized card base I arranged the juicy pieces in an overlapping manner and adhered them with glue and foam tape. The images and sentiment were added on top of the juicy pieces. Adding a few matching sequins to finish the card. Thanks for stopping by today!
