Whimsy Stamps September Release Day 3 - Creepy Clowns

Welcome Friends to another round of September release inspirations. Do you like clowns? I HATE clowns....lol. I think they are totally creepy and not funny at all! This is why I totally LOVE the new Creepy Clowns clear set from Whimsy Stamps. This is exactly how I see clowns...as creepy creatures that give me the jitters....waaaahhh!  LOL!

On my Creepy Clown card I used several of the new Whimsy products all available now in the store! I've listed all products below with a direct link to where there are in the store. Just click a product and you will be taken to that product in the store.

I totally love the new Peekaboo Window 1 die. This die is A2 sized and perfect for peekaboo cards, shaker cards etc. I also used the new Web Background from DoveArt and the Halloween Creatures Stencil. The sentiments are included with the Creepy Clown clear set. The bats are die cut using an older set called Dracula I Compel You die set

Whimsy Stamps September Release Day 1 - Delightful Daisies

It's the first of the month again and time for Whimsy Stamps September Release! All the new goodies are available NOW in the store. There are 5 days scheduled on the Whimsy blog to introduce all the new goodies to you and give you lots of awesome inspiration from our super talented Whimsy Creative Team.

All of the new products are AVAILABLE NOW for purchase. CLICK HERE to be taken directly to the Whimsy store.

Here is my inspiration for todays release day using the NEW Delightful Daisies Background Stamp:

Here is how I created my card:

I stamped the Delightful Daisies Background Stamp onto Hammermill 100lbs digital cover stock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored some of the daisy flowers with Copics. My coloring was inspired by Alyce's Free Floral Class over at Kit and Clowder.
I then cut out the flowers and went around the cut edges with my Copic Black110 pen to cover any white spots.

On each flower center I added a few dots with a glue pen, let it dry and added different colored foil to match the flowers. These tiny foiled dots give some extra sparkle to the flowers (see photo below).

To create the background I airbrushed with a light blue Copic pen and added golden spots using Gansai Tambi golden water color.

I added the flowers in over lapping layers using foam tape. In two opposite corners I stamped doodles from the FADoodles stamp set using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.

For the sentiment I stamped words from the Cheeky Sentiments set onto heavy vellum with Versamark ink, added extra fine white embossing powder and heat embossed. To get the ragged edges I tore the vellum instead of cutting. I then adhered the vellum sentiment band across my card covering part of the image.

To finish my card off I added different size sequins in gold, clear and purple.

Here is a close up where you can see the foiled dots in the flower centers.

You are the Sweetest

Happy TGIF! Todays card showcases an older Whimsy Stamps image from the Krista Heij -Barber Collection - Ice Cream Truck, as well as a sentiment from the Beaucoup Bouquet set.

I stamped the image onto kraft cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it using Copics. The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. To create the distressed looking background I stamped the Burlap Background stamp with Vermark ink onto karft cardstock.
Using Versamark ink only (without adding embossing powder and heat embossing) creates a soft watermark effect. The gorgeous pink glitter paper I used as a layer was from an older PaperDoor kit I've received.

To embellish the card I added Glossy Accents, Stickles Stardust and Sprinkled Sugar glitter glues and NUVO Crystal Drops White Blizzard to some of the cards elements. I also adhered some sequins, enamel dot and some Shaker Fun Confetti.

Here are the Whimsy products I used:

Whimsy Stamps meets Glue Dots - Inspirations Blog Hop

This post will stay on top until noon Friday August 31st.

Hello Everyone & Welcome To The Whimsy Stamps Meets Glue Dots - Inspirations Blog Hop

Join us from August 27h through August 31st for a fun joint blog hop between Whimsy Stamps and Glue Dots. Our teams will be sharing lots of beautiful projects featuring products from both of these companies. And we will have lots of prizes hidden along the hop as well as a grand prize valued at $100!
To enter into the giveaways, you just need to comment on EACH blog throughout the hop. Then for the grand prize after you have commented on all stops along the hop, enter your name and email in the Linky-Tool at the last stop. Winners will be randomly selected and announced on Monday, September 3rd. Good luck and have fun!
For my project for todays hop I made a sweet shaker birthday card using the Sketched Elephants clear stamp set and the matching Sketched Elephants dies set.

I colored the images using PITT Artist Big Brush Pens. They are India ink pens and water soluble. Once dry the ink is waterproof. I like the bright India ink colors and because they are waterproof after they dried you can layer and built the colors easily. I also used these pens to create the shaker background layer. The shaker window is made using the Shaker Maker Rectangle die set.
Links to all the Whimsy products used can be found below. Just click and the links will get you right to the product in the store.

I used Glue Dots Micro Dots to adhere some of the shaker filling to the background. They are super small and permanent, so perfect for the job. The clear acetate sheet was adhered using Glue Lines.  With a Pop-Up Glue dot I added the elephants hat to give it a real 3D effect.  The elephant image and the balloon where glued on with All-purpose Glue Dots.
