Lovely-hAnglar-Only Challenge #8

Image
Hello and welcome to our LHO challenge #8 ! This time our lovely Nicole picked the the theme which is: Paper Piecing I needed a gift wrap matching a card I made earlier. So it was easy deciding on the papers and colors ;-) I chose this hAnglar cutie called 'Sommartjej 2008'. Paper pieced are the pants, shirt and the hat band. The rest is colo9red with my copics.    The DP is from KI Memories and Basic Grey. The paper pieced parts are stamped onto Basic Grey DP. Flowers are from Whimsy and Michaels. I also used Stickles Star Dust and Pink and a Viva Decor Pearl Pen ( I got mine from SCACD ) And here is the set! I hope you like to join us for this fun challenge! Please visit our LHO-Challenge Blog for all the challenge details! Copics used: Thanks for stopping by and visiting! Hugs,

Japanese Influence

Image
Edited 9-17-10: I added 2 pictures. I made a matching box for the card! To view scroll down! Hello all and only one day to go for the weekend! :-) As soon as I saw this cute Japanese Tilda a LO of my card formed instantly in my head....lol. Sometimes I just have to look at an image and I exactly know what I want to do with it. I was inspired by a Japanese Shoji (a japanese kind of screen / folding screen which is being used as room divider or in front of windows, made out of wood and paper) Tilda was stamped onto cryogen white iridescent paper from Arjo Wiggins using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored her in with my Copics (a list of used Copics follows at the end of this posting). I made the fan using Spellbinders Dahlia die set.. The little tassle I made out of embroidery floss. The DP is from the Basic Grey 'Whisteria' pad and DCWV 'The Far East' stack. Highlights where set with Stickles 'Star Dust' and 'Waterfall' as well as a Stardust gell

A Prayer Journal

Image
Hello and Happy Wednesday to you all! I was asked if I could make a Prayer Journal for a little girl . And what stamp could be more perfect than 'A Childs Prayer' from our Belles 'n Whistles 'Forever Young' collection?! I just love this stamp!  I colored the image using my Copics and used matching DP from Basic Grey.         I softly airbrushed the edges around the image using B000 just to give it a little bit of a shine.        The name on the tag is computer generated and tag, lace and swirls are Magnolia Doohickey dies.       The butterfly is cut out using a spellbinder die. The engraving on the little charm says 'believe'. It is a little hard to see in the photo. My guidlines were pink, no flowers and use glitter and glitz very sparingly. Whew...that is always a challenge for me - no flowers and sparingly with glitter...LOL. But I think I kept up to the requests and I hope the mom who ordered this for her little girl likes it. Thanks for st

Vacation time...woohoo! :-) I'm so looking forward to it and it's also nice to give my creative mojo a rest ;-) The card I want to show to you today was made to order. It's an anniversary card and the couple who's celebrating love's red. so I did my best using lots of red ;-) The image is from Magnolias 'Wedding Collection' and I colored it using Distress Inks this time. I"ve stamped onto 300g /140lb hot press watercolor paper with Archival Ink black. I also used Magnolia Doo Hickey dies (tag, swirls and border) and punches from MS (heart and heart border (visible in first picture on the back of the envelope)) The papers are Basic Grey (DP) and Bazzill (CS). I'll list the colors I've used at the end of this posting. The flowers are from Whimsy stamps and the chandelier crystals from Michels (wedding se

So come and play with us this DOTTY challenge over at the ISB-Challenge blog . We love to see what you come up with! And while you are there don't forget to visit my fellow DT sisters blogs and their awesome dotty creations!! Love & hugs,
