Happy Birthday Denise - Whimsy New May Release

The Whimsy DT is celebrating our wonderful boss and Whimsy Stamps Owner Denise Lynn's birthday today!
Happy Birthday Day Denise and thank you for everything you do!

There is also a new release in the store that hit the shelves yesterday! The cute sloth image on my card is one of the newly released stamp sets and called 'NEW Sloth Moments'. I also used the 'NEW Sloth Moments No-Fuss-Masks' as well as other Whimsy products. Please scroll down for a full link list of all products used.

The sloth image was stamped onto mixed media paper with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink. I then masked the image with the matching No-Fuss-Masks to create my background. I colored the cute sloth image with watercolors and pencils. The background was inked with distress oxide inks (mermaid lagoon, mowed lawn and twisted citron). I added some texture by spritzing the inked background with water. To add even more interest I stamped it with the Postmarks background and Versamark ink and clear heat embossed. The photo below shows the embossing of the background a little bit better.
I cut out the Birthday Wishes Word and Shadow die from matching green and blue cardstock. The little speech bubble was perfect for my sentiment. The die cut candles (included with the word and shadow die set) as embellishments and a little Stardust glitter glue finish off my card.
