It's looking a lot like Christmas - Whimsy Mini Release
Hey Friends! It's looking a lot like Christmas.....I know it's not even been Halloween but I am a sucker for all things Christmas 🎄🎅 And the newest Whimsy Mini Release is just right up my alley. My absolute favorite time of the year and creating Christmas cards just rounds it all up. So it's official now there wont be any more Halloween cards on my blog for this year.....sorry for all you Halloweeners 🤗. Oh well...maybe one more on Halloween day...IF the mood strikes LOL.
Ok enough blabber, onto my creations for this release today.
First up is a Christmas card I made using the NEW Vintage Poinsettia clear stamp set. Oh is this stamp set so gorgeous with the beautiful poinsettia blossom and holly leaves. To complete the vintage look I colored my images using Derwent Graphitint pencils and pan colors. I stamped the images with Versafine Clair Nocturne ink onto Arches hot press watercolor paper and fussy cut after coloring.
I wanted to add some bling to my vintage inspired card so I stamped the NEW Slimline Nordic Background with Versamark ink and heat embossed using Ranger's Enchanted Gold embossing powder. It's my favorite gold embossing powder, it sparkles so nicely.
I used the Slimline Cornered Rectangles dies to cut out my background as well as the card base. The stamped sentiments are included with the NEW Vintage Poinsettia clear stamp set. I wanted the word Christmas to stand out more so I used the Christmas Large Word die. I cut it out several times and layered it to have a 3D effect.

My second creation for today is another slimline card using the awesome Slimline SurReally Cool Christmas papers as my focal point.
These pattern papers are amazing and they make for really quick cards. I chose this gorgeous girl holding a star as focal point for my card. I cut out a frame from white glitter paper using the Slimline Scenic Countryside die set. I used the Merry Large Word die for my sentiment. I cut out the word Merry twice from black cardstock and once in satin gold for the top layer. Done was my card! You could simply mass produce this card changing out the patterned paper for each card.
