Hauntingly Sweet - Halloween Inspiration
Hello and Happy Hump-Day! I have a little Halloween inspiration for you today.
It won't be long and we'll be starting fall season (actually next month already...eeek!) and with fall comes also Halloween. I have to admit I am not too much into Halloween. But for me it also means the start of the Holiday season, which IS my favorite season. Therefore I am definitely looking forward to that time of the year :-D If I do Halloween cards I like more the sweet and funny ones not so much the scary stuff. This is why I liked to combine the more scary Goth Skulls background stamp with the cute and sweet Candy Corn Dress Up clear stamp set.
I inked one half of a white cardstock panel with Distress Inks Spiced Marmalade and Squeezed Lemonade. I then partially stamped the Goth Skulls background with Versafine Clair Nocturn ink over the inked part to create my background. Then I stamped one of the cute Candy Corn characters onto Copic friendly paper using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored with Copics and fussy cut the image. The sentiment is included with the Candy Corn Dress Up clear stamp set and was cut out using the Quick Strip die set.
My card base is an A2 size top-fold card. I layered the background panel onto a black cardstock panel and glued it to my card base. The image and the sentiment strip were adhered using foam tape to give a bit of dimension to the card. Four sequins in matching colors finish off my card.
Here is a list with all the Whimsy products I've used on my card:
