Whimsy Stamps February 2013 Rubber Stamp & Die Release

 
Welcome to the Whimsy Stamps February 2013 rubber stamp and die release!

Today, Whimsy Stamps is releasing 22 fantastic new Rubber Stamps & Stamp Sets, 5 wonderful new Whimsy Shapeology Dies, 2 fabulous new Shape EZ by TLC templates, and 2 beautiful Whimsy Designer Paper 6x6 packs. Here is my creation for today's release with the super adorable 'Shelley' designed by Sylvia Zet

I colored Shelley and her little turtle friend with my Copics as usual. Please find the Copic colors I used further down in the posting. The water lily was created using the new Whimsy Shapeology dies 'Layered Flowers' which is a set of 4 dies. The leaf in the upper right corner and the leave swirls are Whimsy dies as well (Leaf Trio & Vines die set). Sentiment is from the 'Lovely Spring Sliders 2' and cut out with the matching Slider 2 die. DP is from Prima's 'Sweet Fairy' collection.

Copic colors used:

Hair: E18 - E15, YR20 - YR21

Skin: E11 - E00 - E000 - E0000 - R00 - R20

Teal: BG0000 - BG000 - BG01 - BG02 - BG53 - BG57

Green: YG17 - YG13 - YG11

Yellow: Y00 - Y02 - Y000

Purple: V09 - V17 - V15 - V12 - V01 - V0000

Pink: R89 - R85 - R81- RV00

Rock: E40 - E41 - E42 - E43

Blue: B0000 - B000

 

 Here's a close-up on the water lily

To create the waves I used a Memory Box die (Big Splash Border) and embellished with rhinestones & swirls.

The inside is decorated to match the outside. Again I used the 'Layered Flowers' die and the leaf from the Leaf Trio. I just kept them more flat. The rings that shall resemble water bubbles were cut out with another Memory Box die, 'Loopy Rings'. The rhinestone border was a gift from my sweet friend Claudia.
