The hop is now closed!!!!!
Welcome everyone to our Belles 'n Whistles new release Blog-Hop-Fun for the most adorable Snowbabies collection as always designed by the wonderful Elisabeth Bell! I am your first stop in the hop and you should have arrived here directly from the Belles 'n Whistles Inspirational Blog where you were introduced to the hop by Summer! You want to start your hop off right and leave comments on all the participating blogs including the Belles 'n Whistles blog at the end!!! Because only then you are eligible and have the chance on winning a full set of the new 'Snowbabies Collection'!
As you already know from Summer this is no ordinary release blog hop. We also want to share our solidarity and support to our dear DT sisters Elise and Jacque who have both been diagnosed with breast cancer. Elise just was diagnosed a short while ago and is already undergoing heavy chemo-treatment, while Jacque is fighting this terrible disease already for the past year . Both of them are such strong, wonderful women who have touched our lives in many ways! So please be aware spread the word about Breast Cancer Awareness and DON'T forget to do your monthly self-exam's in addition to your regular doctor visit's.
Summer will donate 10% of the proceeds from the Snowbabies collection to Breast Cancer Research in the honor of our dear Elise and Jacque!!!
To show your support please feel free to copy the wonderful blinkie our dear Lynda made and put it on your blog if you like!

My card:

I also made a matching bottle-hanger:
And because if you are outside in the cold you need something to warm you up, don't you? So on the back of the bottle-hanger there is a recipe for a typical German Winter drink called Gluehwein / Mulled/Spiced Wine.
And here is the recipe for my version of Gluehwein:
Glühwein ~ Mulled Wine
2 cups / 500 ml red wine
½ orange
½ lemon
3 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick
Sugar to taste
Choose a good red wine, one you’d usually
drink. In a small pot combine the wine and
spices. Cut off 2 thin slices from each the
lemon and orange. Squeeze the rest of the
orange and lemon halves; add juices and
citrus slices to the wine. Heat the wine and
let steep for a while. Season to taste!
Do not boil!!! Strain and serve very hot in
mugs or heat proof glasses.

To make an alcohol-free version of this recipe for Gluehwein just substitute
the wine with 2/3 red grape juice and 1/3 black currant juice.Make sure to
use a good juice which is made from 100% fruit juice and not from concentrate.

Here is the set:
You can put the bottle-hanger on a bottle of red wine and together with the card this will make a nice gift, don't you think so?
