Our 9th ROP challenge is starting today!
This time it was on me to come up with an idea for the challenge. And because I love to decorate different materials using stamps I thought decorating a candle would make a great challenge!
No, no don't worry this is not difficult at all! Well yes there are many different ways to decorate a candle using stamps and I used the technique where I stamp my image onto tissue paper, color it and then apply it to the candle using wax paper and a heating tool. This is my favorite technique for decorating a candle. And if you always wondered how that works, check out our ROP Tutorial Blog for instructions!
And if you still think this is too difficult for you to make you'll be given the option to make a card using the inspirational photo
For more information on the challenge and the little twist that's included ;-) check out our Challenge Blog! Oh yes and as always you must use a stamp from a line available in
For my candle I used part of the Tabletop with Flowers stamp from the Alota Rubber Stamps Easter collection as well as the sentiment from the same collection. I stamped the image on tissue paper and colored it using my colored pencils and gamsol. Added stickles, prima flowers (both available at Roses on Paper), brads and ribbon for decorations.
So get inspired, start crafting and join the challenge.
I can't wait to see what you all come up with!
