Always Be Happy! - First Belles 'n Whistles Challenge!

Hi everyone and welcome to our very first Belles 'n Whistles Challenge. From now on every other Monday we are hosting a challenge on our Belles 'n Whistles blog. This is a Belles 'n Whistles only challenge, that means only Belles 'n Whistles stamps are eligible please keep this in mind when entering this challenge! For this first challenge our very talented new DT sister Kathy picked the theme. Kathy would like everyone to create a project incorporating D.I.Y. Flowers! Create a flower or two to embellish your card or project. And because this is our very first Belles 'n Whistles challenge Summer has sponsored a great price! The randomly chosen winner will get a $25 gift certificate from Belles 'n Whisltes...woohoo! How great is that?! I hope you all join us in this first challenge to get things rolling!

For my card I chose the super cute image 'Belle Dusting Cuckoo'. Isn't she to die for? I colored her with my Copics and  stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black on Iridescent Cryogen White paper from Arjo Wiggins. Te DP I've used is from Crafty Secrets 'Heartwarming Vintage Collection - classic' and CS is Bazzill.

I made the flowers using Marianne Design dies, added a brad and some Platinum Stickles. Not too fancy but I like it more simple with this image. The leaves are made using punches from the Punch Bunch.
The sketch I followed is from the ongoing challenge #54 at MMSC.
My sentiment is from a Stampin' Up! set which I bought at Claudia's Stampin' Up! sale!

There is a new categorie now in our Belles 'n Whistles Gallery only for Challenge entries! Make sure you visit our Gallery and upload your entry there as well!

Here are some more close-ups:

Here is a shot of the copics I used:
