Happy Friday Everyone & Welcome To Our 2. Belles 'n Whistles New Release Blog Hop - Christmas and Cookies for Santa!!!

Yay, its almost time for Christmas and that means time for the Belles 'n Whistles Christmas Release! 6 suuuuper cute and brand new stamps, designed by the amazingly talented Elisabeth Bell, are about to be released and available in the Belles 'n Whistles store tomorrow, Saturday October 31st! and start shipping out next week!
But how about winning a whole set of the brand new release? Do you like that idea? I bet you do! Not only 1 but 2 winners will have the chance of a whole set!!! WOW!!! And I tell you what you have to do in order to have a chance of winning them :-) It's pretty easy...just participate in our New Release Blog Hop and leave a comment on every blog! Easy isn't it? So if you not started the hop at our Belles 'n Whistles blog go there right now and start at the very beginning! And if you did you should have arrived here from Jacques wonderful blog! You will find the new stamps beautifully showcased on the DT's blogs, you won't miss this!!! To find out where to go next from here, stay with me till the end of this post :-)

Our blog hop theme is Christmas and Cookies ....hmmmmm that means we have in addition to the new stamps also some yummy for your tummy....Christmas Cookie Recipes! So on each DT Blog you'll find a beautifully presented stamp and some yummy treats :-)

The stamp I used for my card is called "Twas the night before Christmas"! When I first saw the sketch on Elisabeths website I sat infront of my computer for half an hour and was just staring at this image. I was spell bound :-) I just love it and aren't these sibblings too cute fallen a sleep while waiting for Santa on that huge chair. And while they are dreaming Santa's sneaking in eating the cookies and drinking his milk and leaving the presents unterneath the tree :-)
For my yummy treat I decided to share a family recipes with you which is each year on my baking list. It's a German Christmas treat: Vanille Kipferl (small vanilla crescents). The other cake I made and you can see it in my pictures as well is a Stollen. I'll share this recipe at a later time with you.

I colored my image with my Copics and the DP I used is from Basic Grey's Eskimo Kisses paper pad. I cut the image out and adhered it with foam dots for some extra dimension. The glitter highlights are made with Stickles. Stars and Snowflakes are made using Spellbinder dies and the icicle border punch is from Martha Stewart. Some other embellies I used are, charms, decorative pin, ribbon, self adhesive rhinestones and halfpearls. The sentiment stamps are from Magnolia and Inkadinkado.

For the recipe scroll down a little further! But first here is your next link!!!

I hope you like my card I made with this cutie stamp. After leaving a comment it is tnow ime for you to go on to the the next stop in our hop. The next click will bring you to Sweden :-) The amazingly talented Anki will show you the next adorable image and some yummy Swedish treats. Off you go to Ankis Blog!

Vanille Kipferl

2 cups 1 tbsp / 250g all purpose flour
3/4 cups / 80g powdered sugar
2 egg yolks
1 vanilla bean
1 pinch of salt
5 oz /150 g ground almonds
5 oz / 150g unsalted cold butter
some more powdered sugar and vanilla sugar

On a pastry board quickly mix flour, powdered sugar, egg yolks, vanilla bean pulp, salt, ground almonds and cold butter (cut in small pieces) together using a dough cutter or knives until a dough forms. You can also use your food processor. It's important that the dough doesn't get too warm, so don't knead the dough with your hands for too long.
Put the dough in a bowl, cover and refrigerate for 1 hour. Form two 2 inch thick rolls and cut off slices about 1/5 of an inch thick. form into small crescents and put on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 10 min. at 390 F / 200 C. Let cool on a baking rack. To decorate the crescents dust them with a mix of powdered sugar and vanilla sugar* until still warm.

* To make your own vanilla sugar cut one or two vanilla beans open lengthwise. Fill an airtight container with sugar and add the vanilla beans. Sealt the container and shake. Let stand at least a week for the vanilla flavor to infiltrate into the sugar.

Thanks for stopping by today and participating in our blog hop. The comments you may leave are all highly appreciated!
